語源
「base-resistant」は「base」と「resistant」からできた複合語です。化学的な「base」はラテン語／ギリシャ語由来でフランス語を経由した語に由来し、「resistant」はラテン語の'resistere'（立ち向かう、抵抗する）からフランス語'résistant'を経て入った語です。
