語源
「mythologization」は現代英語に由来し、動詞「'mythologize'」と名詞化接尾辞「'-ation'」から形成された。
「mythologize」はギリシャ語の要素「'mythos'（神話・物語）」と「'logos'（言葉・記述・学）」に由来し、ギリシャ語→ラテン語→フランス語を経て英語で動詞化され、その後接尾辞「'-ation'」が付いて「mythologization」になった。
