語源
「antidecalogue」はギリシャ語の要素に由来する。接頭辞「anti-」と語「dekalogos」から成り、「anti-」は「反対」、「deka-」は「10」、「logos」は「言葉／記述」を意味した。
「dekalogos」は後期ラテン語で「Decalogus」となり、中英語を経て現代英語の「decalogue」になった。現代英語では接頭辞「anti-」を付して「antidecalogue」が作られ、反対を示す語として用いられる。
当初は十戒に対する反対を示す語として作られたが、次第に十項目の反対規則や道徳規範の修辞的反転を指すより広い意味でも用いられるようになった。
