語源
『anhidrotic』はギリシャ語の『an-（〜がない）』と『hidrōs（汗）』に由来し、医学語『anhidrosis（無汗症）』と形容詞語尾『-tic』から派生した。
ギリシャ語要素から医学英語『anhidrosis』が作られ、そこに形容詞語尾『-tic』が付いて現代医学英語の『anhidrotic』となった。
当初から「汗がない」という生理的な意味で用いられ、現代でも発汗の欠如・抑制を指す医学的意味で用いられている。
