語源
『Bing』（マイクロソフトの製品名）は現代英語のブランド命名（2009年）に由来し、音を表す擬音語の「bing」に似た記憶しやすい造語として作られた。『Bing』チェリーは英語圏で栽培者の人物名「阿ビン（Ah Bing）」にちなんで名付けられた。擬音語の「bing」（音を表す語）は19世紀頃に英語で用いられ始めた。
