語源
「hack」は中古英語の『hakken』に由来し、さらに古英語の『haccian』に遡り、その語根は「粗く切る・たたき切る」を意味しました。
『hack』は中古英語の『hakken』（切る）や古英語の『haccian』から変化し、19世紀には「仕事を金のためにする作家」の意味を持ち、現代では「便利な裏技」や「システムに不正侵入する」の意味も生じました。
