語源
'color-shifting'は英語に由来し、名詞'color'（色合い）と現在分詞'shifting'（動く・変わる）を結合してできた語である。
'color'はラテン語'color'が古フランス語'colour'を経て英語に入った。'shift'は古英語／古ノルド語系の語から中英語を通じて発達し、両者の結合として近現代英語で'color-shifting'が生まれた。
