語源
接頭辞「anti-」はギリシャ語の'anti'に由来し「反対・対抗」を意味します。'gas'は17世紀にオランダ語の'gas'から英語に入った語です。
『anti-gas』は英語で接頭辞「anti-」と名詞「gas」を組み合わせてできた語で、化学戦の対策などにより20世紀に用例が増えました。
