語源
「anisomeric」はギリシャ語の要素『anisos（不等）』と『meros（部分）』、および形容詞接尾辞『-ic』から来ている。
『anisomeric』は近代の学術用語として、ギリシャ語由来の結合形（aniso- + mer- + -ic）から化学用語として作られ、分子の不等・非同一の形を表すために使用されるようになった。
当初は『不等な部分を持つ』という一般的な意味で造られたが、現代では化学分野で『非同一の異性体に関連する』という専門的な意味に特化した。
