語源
『preponderance』はラテン語の『praeponderare』に由来し、『prae-』は「前」や「先」を、『ponderare』は「重さを量る」を意味しました。
『preponderance』は後期ラテン語の『praeponderantia』から変化し、中世フランス語や中英語を経て現代英語の『preponderance』となりました。
