語源
「gun-friendly」は近代英語の複合語で、'gun'と'friendly'から成る。'gun'は中英語の「gunne」に由来し、その正確な起源は不明（個人名由来の可能性あり）。'friendly'は古英語の「freond」「freondlic」に由来し、'freond'は「友」を意味した。
