語源
「balneum」はラテン語の語『balneum』に由来し、その語は最終的にギリシャ語の『balaneion』（入浴を意味する）から借用されたものである。
『balneum』はギリシャ語『balaneion』からラテン語『balneum』へ変化し、学術的・専門的な文脈で英語に借用され『balneum』となった。
