語源
「astrotheology」は現代英語に由来し、ギリシャ語『astron』（星）に由来する接頭辞 'astro-' と、ギリシャ語『theologia』（神についての論）が語源の 'theology' を結合してできた語である。
『astro-』と『theology』という要素をつなげた合成語であり、両要素は古典期以降のギリシャ語・ラテン語の語根を経て現代英語へと伝わってきた。
