語源
「astable」は接頭辞『a-』（ギリシャ語由来で「〜でない／〜がない」の意）と「stable」（ラテン語 'stabilis'「しっかり立つ」の意）から成る造語です。
「stable」は古フランス語 'estable' を経てラテン語 'stabilis' から英語に入り、技術用語として20世紀に電子回路分野で接頭辞 'a-' を付けて『astable』が作られました。
