語源
「assertorial」は英語で形容詞「assertory」＋接尾辞「-ial」から作られた。「assertory」は最終的にラテン語の「assertorius」（「断言する」の意の 'asserere' に由来）にさかのぼる。
「assertorial」は初期の英語の形容詞「assertory」から現代英語で生産的な形容詞接尾辞「-ial」を付けて発展した。「assertory」は中期ラテン語の「assertorius」を経て英語に入った。
