語源
「aromaticness」は英語に由来し、形容詞「aromatic」と名詞化接尾辞「-ness」の結合から成ります。『aromatic』はフランス語の『aromatique』、さらにギリシャ語の『arōma』（「香辛料」「良い香り」）に由来します。
『aromatic』はフランス語『aromatique』（またはラテン語『aromaticus』）を経て英語に入り、さらに形容詞に接尾辞『-ness』が付いて英語の名詞『aromaticness』が形成されました。元のギリシャ語は『arōma』『arōmatikos』です。
