語源
「archilochian」は古代ギリシア語の人名「Ἀρχίλοχος」(アルキロコス)に由来し、『archi-』は「長（ちょう）・首位」を、『lochos』は「待ち伏せ・隊（たい）」を意味した。
英語では人名『Archilochus』から接尾辞「-ian」を付けて派生した形容詞として形成された（Archilochus → Archilochian）。
