語源
「aphaeretic」はギリシャ語、具体的には「aphaíresis（アファイレシス）」に由来し、接頭辞の「a-」は「離れて（否定）」、語根の「haírein／hairein」は「取り去る」を意味した。
「aphaeretic」は新ラテン語・中世ラテン語の形「aphaereticus（ラテン化された『aphaeresis』に由来）」から変化し、最終的に現代英語の形「aphaeretic」になった。
