語源
「anaglyph」はギリシャ語の「anaglyphos」に由来し、「ana-」は「上へ」や「再び」、「glyphein」は「彫る」という意味。
「anaglyphos」はギリシャ語からラテン語「anaglyphus」へ変化し、最終的に現代英語の「anaglyph」になった。
元々は「浮き彫りにされたもの」という意味だったが、時代とともに「2色の画像を重ねて作る立体画像」という意味も持つようになった。
