語源
「ack-ack」は20世紀初頭の英語の無線・電話用綴り字（スペリングアルファベット）に由来し、特に文字'A'を表す語『Ack』から来ている。重ねた形『Ack-Ack』は'A A'（'anti-aircraft'を示す）を表した。
『Ack』（文字'A'を表すスペリングアルファベット用語）は英国の信号・電話アルファベットで使われていた。第一次大戦・第二次大戦期に『Ack-Ack』（A A）が対空砲や対空砲火の俗称として用いられ、そこから英語の『ack-ack』という語になった。
