語源
「vibraharp」は英語に由来し、要素「vibra-」（最終的にはラテン語の「vibrare」）と「harp（ハープ）」を組み合わせて作られた語。『vibrare』は「振動させる」を意味し、『harp』は弦楽器の意味。
「vibraharp」は20世紀初頭に作られた「vibraphone」という名前の別形として英語で使われ始め、貿易カタログやジャズ用語として変種が定着した。
