語源
「postmillenarian」は、ラテン語由来の接頭辞「post-（～の後）」を「millenarian」に付して作られた語で、「millennium」はラテン語の「mille（1000）」＋「annus（年）」に由来する。
ラテン語の'millennium'は中世ラテンの'millennarius'のような形を経て英語の'millenarian'になり、'postmillenarian'はそれに'post-'を付して英語で作られた。
