語源
「handler」は英語で、動詞「handle」に動作主を表す接尾辞「-er」を付けた語に由来し、「扱う人」を意味するようになった。
「handle」は古英語の「handlian」（扱う、触る、管理する）に由来し、「hand」（手）に関係する語である。後に接尾辞「-er」を付けて「handler」ができた。
