語源
『concavity』はラテン語、具体的には『concavitas』（『concavus』に由来）から来ており、接頭辞『con-』は「一緒に・〜と共に」、『cavus』は「空洞・へこみ」を意味した。
『concavity』はラテン語『concavitas』から派生し、後期ラテン語や古フランス語の形を経て中英語で用いられ、最終的に現代英語の『concavity』になった。
