語源
「avulse」はラテン語に由来し、具体的には「avulsus」から来ている。接頭語の「ab-」（しばしば「a-」に同化）は「離れて」を、語根の「vellere」（「vuls-」の形）は「つまみ取る・引く」を意味した。
