語源
「antiperiodic」は現代英語で接頭辞「anti-」と形容詞「periodic」を結合して作られた語に由来する。接頭辞「anti-」はギリシャ語の'antí'（反対・逆）に由来し、'periodic'はラテン語'periodicus'を経てギリシャ語'periodikos'に由来する。'peri-'は「周り」、'hodos'は「道」「経路」を意味した。
