語源
「anti-resonant」はギリシャ語接頭辞「anti-」（ἀντί、〜に対する）と、最終的にラテン語の「resonare」（再び鳴る）の派生である「resonant」から起こった語である。
「resonant」はラテン語の'resonare'（re-「再び」+ sonare「鳴る」）に由来し、古フランス語や中英語を経て英語に入った。技術用語としてギリシャ語の接頭辞「anti-」が結びつき、『antiresonant／anti-resonant』が現代英語で用いられるようになった。
