語源
「anthroposociology」は現代英語由来の造語で、ギリシャ語の「anthropos」（人間）と「sociology」（ラテン語・フランス語系で「仲間」「社会的」の意に関する語根）を結合している。
「anthroposociology」は比較的新しい学術造語で、ギリシャ語由来の接頭辞『anthropo-』と19世紀に成立した『sociology』を結びつけて作られ、長い中世英語の変遷を経てはいない。
