語源
「Amyrautian」は固有名詞「Amyraut」（モーゼ・アミロー）に由来し、英語で形容詞を作る接尾辞「-ian」を付けて「～に関する／～に属する」という意味を表している。
「Amyrautian」は学術ラテン語の形「Amyraldus」を経由して発展した。ラテン語形から英語で「Amyraldian」などの形容詞が生まれ、のちに『Amyrautian』の綴りも神学文献で現れ、現代英語の形式が確立された。
